Creator's Guide

Charmsy is an adults-only (18+) platform for interactive romance and roleplay with AI characters. This guide covers how to make a character people love, and the rules every character must follow.

What makes a great character

Two things matter most: a strong description and a strong image. Everything else builds on those.

• Write a vivid personality. This is the single most important field. Describe how they speak, their quirks, their mood, and how they treat the reader. The more concrete detail you give, the better they stay in character across a long story.
• Give them an original name and a clear hook. A memorable name plus a one-line situation (the rival CEO who keeps showing up at your door) pulls people in from the card.
• Add a background and a greeting. The background shapes how they behave; the greeting is their first message and sets the scene.
• Show, do not tell, with example dialogue. A few lines of how they actually talk teach the model their voice better than adjectives.

Image tips

• Pick a clear, high-quality portrait. A clean, well-lit face reads best on cards and in chat.
• Use a reference image to guide the look. When you generate, you can upload an optional reference photo and the result will follow its look while staying your original character.
• Try the style presets. Photoreal, K-drama still, illustrated, anime, and fantasy each give a different feel. Generate a batch and pick your favorite.
• Avatars can be an image, a GIF, or an MP4. We do not generate video, but you can upload one.

What is allowed

Mature and explicit text between consenting adult fictional characters is permitted. Charmsy is built for adult romantic and roleplay storytelling.

Strictly prohibited - zero tolerance

These are never allowed and will be removed, and may be reported:

• Any content that sexualizes minors or depicts anyone under 18 in a sexual context, real or fictional, in any form. This is an absolute, zero tolerance line.
• Real people or celebrities. Create original characters, not impersonations of real individuals.
• Explicit, pornographic, or nude images. Explicit text is allowed, but all imagery on the platform stays safe for work.
• Content that promotes, depicts, or facilitates illegal activity, hate, or real-world harm.

Privacy

Conversations are private by default. A character you create can be private, unlisted, or public; only public characters appear in the catalog and search. See our Privacy Policy and Content Policy for the full details.
